Close Call and Down for the Count

On Friday after I dropped the kids off at school I was in a near car accident. A man going the opposite direction from me decided he was going the wrong way and figured he needed to turn around, either he didn't see me or he thought he had plenty of room to make the turn, turns out he didn't, he got halfway into my lane and stopped realizing he made a mistake! All I could do (besides jerk the wheel and wreck my car) was to slam really hard on my brakes, hard enough that Ellie and I were both pitched forward HARD, I have to say I am very thankful for seat belts and car seats and the fact that we were both buckled correctly! I was able to stop inches away from his car, I have to admit it was scary I think you could see my heart thumping out of my chest. Poor Ellie was trying to breathe she kept saying " I okay, I okay, momma you okay?". Needless to say the guy just shrugged his shoulders and finished his turn and kept going, frustrating to say the least! Ellie and I got home safely thank goodness, I had a lot of errands to run that day so I started getting ready for the day and that's when the contractions started, I laid down for as long as I could (which made the contractions stop) till I had to get Kaleb from school and to a Dr.'s appointment, I was able to get him there and back to school without incident so I finished up my other errands. By the time I got home the contractions had started again. I didn't want to ruin the guys camp out so I told them to go if anything happened I would call Dana but at that point I felt if I stayed down I would be fine. The girls and I had lot's of plans but just ended up ordering pizza and staying in. I called the nurse and told her what happened, since I had an appointment scheduled for Monday she told me to stay down and drink lots of water till I came in, unless anything major happened then I needed to go straight to the hospital.

I had my appointment yesterday, they were able to do an ultrasound in the office the baby kept moving and kicking the little stick thing they use on my belly so that was definitely a good sign! They were looking to see if there was any tearing, especially the placenta, aside from some bruising on my abdomen wall everything looked great! I think I audibly sighed with relief when he told me that! Even though everything looks good the bruising from the seat belt is pretty bad and will take longer than usual (since this girl thinks it's ok to kick me there)to heal so until it does I am down for the count and least for the next 2 weeks, I'm not to do ANYTHING. Perfect timing considering it's the last week of school and we have something going on everyday, but we will do what's best for me and baby and make it work! Dana and the kids have been a bug help so I think we will manage just fine.

I am officially 7 months (as of Saturday), here's a pic 28 weeks.

The kids are really excited, they can now see and feel her move and they love it.

The other day when I had both my arms full of grocery bags Ellie who was walking behind me asked " Why you waddle momma?" I laughed and asked "I waddle?" she responded with " Yup like a ducky, QUACK QUACK!!" awe nothin like the innocence of a child to make you feel 100% awesome (i hope you noted the sarcasm).

On top of the new bruising the morning/all day sickness has kicked back in again (since about 26 weeks) so I have been back to barely functioning during the day, but it's all for a good cause right!? Honestly I would go through anything to make sure this little girl arrives safely.

I am working on Ryne's room right now, well it's gonna have to wait a couple weeks now before I get it all cleared out and ready for paint. Ryne is so excited to be getting her own room! Alright so there's a prego update, I am lot's more things to blog about I just haven't had a chance. But it seems I will get to catch up over the next 2 weeks!
