Salt Lake City

Isn't the Salt Lake Temple beautiful!? I just love it, we didn't want to miss seeing all the beautiful lights and Natvities, so we battled the bad weather to get to Salt Lake and man was it worth it!
So we forgot to have Ellie in this picture with us!! OOPS!!The Salt Lake Temple has always been magnificent, but there is nothing like it in the winter time with all of the lights lit up around it. The kids were impressed with all of the lights and pretty buildings, Ryne just loved the temple and told us that it looked like a castle!
After we walked around Temple Square we went to Dennee's for Dinner, it was kids night and the kids each got balloon art (Ethan borrowed Ellies:))Ellie with her rattle.Ryne with her nice puppy with floppy ears!and Kaleb got and airplane which he loved flying around the restaurant!
After dinner we loaded up the cars and headed back to Idaho, we were in 2 cars, Ethan, Dane and the 2 younger kids were in one car and my mom, me and Ryne were on the other. We did run into a little trouble when Ethan's car battery died and we had to jump him a couple of times. As we were going home we were keeping a close on my brothers car, he got ahead of us and we lost him, as we continued driving we saw a white car on the side of the road and thought it was our other car, we pulled over only to find out it was a father, daughter and son coming back from Salt Lake from a wedding, they got a flat tire and when they put on their spare they discovered it too was flat! It was lucky we happened to stop, we took the teenage kids to the nearest gas station to pump up the spare to see if it would hold air, we discovered a nail in it, lucky for us the guys weren't too far ahead of us and Ethan happened to have a nail repair kit in his car so the guys came back and fixed the tire, and these nice people were on their way! The kids slept through all of this and I kind of wish they were awake for the learning experience, but WOW what a way to end the night, the spirit was so strong! What a wonderful evening we had!
